Stress management
Preventing stress starts with awareness and should be addressed early in your journey, before stress happens.
Aarhus University gathered very useful information on their website (LINK: Understanding stress and stress factors │ Aarhus University). They list the most common signs of stress, both physical, psychological, and behavioral and address the different zones of well-being to stress.
At DTU, the following initiatives are up and going:
- DTU psychological counseling portal: psykolog.dtu.dk
- DTU mental health awareness program
A free online course for PhD students, PostDocs and research assistants of DTU. The course provides videos and workbooks on mental health. Different topics on how to become more aware of mental health and prevent stress are addressed, including awareness exercises and group discussions with peers. The course is most often held on zoom and takes two hours every week for six weeks. We strongly encourage newcomers to join this course early, as awareness is key for prevention.
- DM stress event
Organized by the PhD association and DM. Workshop will be announced via email and linked in, sign-up via link.
