It is a core mission for the PhD Association to help both the professional and academic development of all early-career researchers at DTU, whilst also providing spaces for taking a breather occasionally amongst a hectic life of science.  

The Events group organizes activities throughout the fiscal year that promote scientific exchange and networking for all PhD students, postdocs, and research assistants at DTU, as well as recreational events that foster a positive work environment at DTU.  

Our annual flagship event, and the one with the highest attendance, is the beach volleyball tournament held every year at the end of summer.  

Past events include: 

• A postdoc roundtable discussion on career acceleration 
• An online workshop on grant applications and grant writing 
• The Doughctoral Bake-Off — a light-hearted cooking competition where teams of 3–5 people compete to bake the best cake or pizza, all while mingling with fellow researchers 
• Concerts at S-Huset
